Most of the IFC and CPC organizations have houses on Georgia Tech's campus, generally on or near Fifth Street, Ferst Avenue, Fowler Street, or Techwood Drive, in the area known as the "Greek Sector." The first sorority to establish a chapter was Alpha Xi Delta in 1954. The first fraternity to establish a chapter at Georgia Tech was Alpha Tau Omega in 1888, before the school held its first classes. All of the groups are chapters of national organizations, including members of the North American Interfraternity Conference, National Panhellenic Conference, and National Pan-Hellenic Council. Xi Delta is a group of women focused on attaining sisterhood bonds, academic achievement, leadership development, and commitment to serving others.Greek life at Georgia Tech includes over 50 active chapters of social fraternities and sororities. They strive to advance the growth of lacrosse across the state of Georgia. The UGA Women’s Club Lacrosse team is a competitive non-varsity lacrosse program that competes regionally and nationally. They provide the opportunity for students to develop leadership, event planning, budgeting, marketing, and organizational skills. University Unionįounded in 1948, University Union is the student programming board that puts on events for students by students.

They prep their students to become pharmacists in various fields. UGA’s College of Pharmacy offers pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences degree programs and they are one of the best pharmacy schools in the country. Their goal is to help members be as prepared as they can be to successfully apply to PA schools. The Pre-Physician Assistant Association provides students with the opportunity to learn about being a PA and being within a community of students with similar career interests. The Greek Life Office Staff works to provide the fraternities and sororities on UGA’s campus with educational programs and services to help create, promote, and foster community. Their goal is to embrace organ, eye, and tissue donation as a fundamental human responsibility. Donate Lifeĭonate Life encourages students and external members of the Athens community to increase the numbers of designated donors. DKE sets out to produce outstanding gentlemen and leaders through serving the university and its community. Delta Kappa EpsilonĪ colony of the national Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Collegiate 4-H has given many hours to 4-H clubs in the Athens area through volunteering at camps, serving judges, and serving alongside their extension professionals.
